ARI KOIVUNEN To Guest On JUICE FRUIT Album
September 26, 2008Finnish heavy metal vocalist Ari Koivunen has recorded lead vocals on two songs on the album "Ajan hengessä" from the band JUICE FRUIT. The LP is a tribute to the late Juice Leskinen, one of the most prominent Finnish singer-songwriters of the late 20th century, and it contains new versions of Juice's songs. Ari's contributions are "Paperitähdet" and "Heavydiggarin Vuorisaarna". A record-release party will be held on October 1 at the Dublin Irish Pub in Lahti.

Ari Koivunen's sophomore album, "Becoming", will be released in Germany on October 6 via Sony BMG. The CD was certified gold in Finland one week after its release for sales in excess of 15,000 copies. The album, which features artwork by Thomas Ewerhard, entered the Finnish chart at No. 1. The Japanese version of the LP, which came out on June 25 via Sony Music, contains an exclusive track called "Fight Forever".
"Give Me A Reason", the first single from "Becoming", entered the Finnish chart at position No. 3. The song was written by Nino Laurenne of THUNDERSTONE and Pasi Heikkilä, who were also in charge of producing Ari's sophomore album at Sonic Pump Studios.
